Do you have more than one person using your makeup mirror?  The height adjustment on this Jerdon Style makeup mirror is an excellent solution for people of different heights using the same mirror.  And, in addition to its polished chrome finish, it's available in a hard-to-find bright brass finish.  The mirror has a 9" diameter, larger than most, and is reversible from 3x magnification to a normal 1x view.  The heavy extension arm allows it to extend up to 8.5" from the wall and the vertical adjustment allows 6" of height change.  Finished in polished chrome.
