Echeveria desmetiana de smelt is a medium-size Echeveria with leaves covered with a layer of pale blue frost powder. Desmetiana de smelt's leaves are thin and blue. The leaves will become charming pink with enough sunlight and quite a different temperature, especially in deep fall and winter.

Like other soft succulents, Echeveria desmetiana de smelt can't survive outdoors in cold winter. Bring them indoors and place them by the window to get as much sunlight as possible or under a grow light.

To ensure the health of succulents, they need porous, well-draining soil to live in. Succulents require little watering but don't like to sit in wet soil. The best way of watering is the soak-and-dry method. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry.
